Riddhima Kapoor on Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘violent film’ Animal: Audience enjoy…

Fashion designer and entrepreneur Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, who recently appeared as one of the ‘Delhi girls’ in Netflix’s Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives, spoke about violence shown in brother, Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal. Riddhima was one of the speakers at Sahitya AajTak 2024 in a session titled ‘Delhi Wives Ki Fab Lives’. She was accompanied by socialite Shalini Passi and entrepreneur Kalyani Saha.
During her session, an audience member brought up Raj Kapoor’s legacy of making films about social issues. They noted the contrast with contemporary films like Animal and Pushpa and asked if Raj Kapoor’s presence today had led to the creation of better films. To this, Riddhima replied, “There’s a section of the audience who enjoy watching these movies like Animal and Pushpa. If my grandfather was here today, I am sure you’d have seen some remarkable movies by him. But, the audience is watching such movies today.”
She further reacted to getting trolled on the show. She said, “You are here to put your best self out. You work hard and let others do whatever they want to. If someone is happy writing something against you, let them be. You focus on your work and your opportunities.”
Riddhima wants more of her family bonding to be shown if there’s a next season of Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives. “For me, my family comes first. They come before everything else. Even today, when my daughter comes home from school, she’s not coming to an empty house. I let go of everything else just to be there for her. If there’s another season, I want them to show more about my family, my yoga. I am the oldest newcomer in the family. Follow your dreams, don’t hold back and whatever you can do,” she said.
Riddhima was also asked if she would want to switch her life, given the chance. “I am very happy and secure with my own life. I wouldn’t change it for anything ever. I love my life. I am the happiest, and express gratitude every day for the beautiful family on both sides,” she said, without batting an eyelid.
Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives also stars Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Pandey, Neelam Kothari, Seema Sajdeh, Kalyani Saha Chawla, and Shalini Passi. The six-episode series is currently streaming on Netflix.
